Battlefield 6 vehicle tier list
Which hulls decide Firestorm, Golmud, and Tsuru Reef.
Vehicle value is map value. An attack helicopter is S-tier on Operation Firestorm and a passenger on Empire State because it cannot spawn. This list ranks platforms in the modes and maps that actually spawn them, with Season 4’s naval layer included. For seat binds and repair habits, use the vehicle guide. For which human should be in the hull, use the class tier list.
S-tier
- Main battle tanks (M1A2 SEPV3 / LEO A4) — still the flag owners on open ground. A full crew with intercept equipment and an Engineer on the hull will hold a sector that infantry cannot. Front armor is not a personality; peek angles and wait for repair.
- Attack helicopters — the highest skill ceiling. A good pilot deletes armor columns. A bad pilot is a ticket fountain for the other team’s AA. If you are average, this is not S for you personally — it is S for the lobby.
- RCB-90 patrol boat — Season 4’s water argument. On Tsuru Reef it is how a squad exists between islands. Mortars and mines make it more than a taxi.
- Mobile AA — unloved, decisive. One player who actually plays AA collapses the enemy air game. Ranked S because the absence of AA is how matches get farmed.
A-tier
- IFVs — faster than tanks, worse into MBTs, better at dumping infantry on a point. Amphibious routes on Pacific maps are a bonus, not a reason to swim at a patrol boat head-on.
- Transport helicopters — they win by arriving, not by dueling. A squad on a roof they did not walk to is worth more than a gun run you die in.
- NSW RHIB — the small boat. Faster inserts, weaker fights. Use it as a spawn taxi and a flank, not as a gunboat versus RCB-90.
- Air superiority jets — they matter when the map is huge and someone on the other team is already in a jet. Season 4 two-seaters (Super Spectre, Seacat) are A in the playlists that exist to show them off, including Carrier Strike and Fighter Sweep.
B-tier
- Light ground attack / wildcat-style platforms that are excellent until a tank looks at them.
- Jets in the hands of anyone who still stalls on takeoff. The platform is A. The average pilot is B or C. Practice in Portal.
- Boats on maps that barely have water. A RHIB on a canal is a novelty. On Wake Island it is a rotation.
C-tier
Empty tanks driven into the same street that just killed the last tank. Transport vehicles used as infantry fighting positions in the open. Any aircraft that never uses countermeasures. These are not the game’s fault.
Map overlay
- Firestorm / Golmud / Mirak / New Sobek — tanks and air. AA is mandatory. Boats do not exist; do not take this list’s naval ranks with you.
- Tsuru Reef / Wake Island — boats jump to S, tanks still matter on land, jets matter over the carrier. Read maps before you request a jet you cannot land.
- Cairo / Empire State / Saints Quarter — this entire page is optional. Play infantry. Bring a launcher on Engineer if a vehicle sneaks in.
Crew skill beats hull tier
A B-tier IFV with a gunner and a repair Engineer outranks an S-tier tank that a solo driver rammed into a mine. Ping seats. Wait for the repair. Do not spawn a second tank into a known lock-on nest. The Season 4 patch list includes water interaction and projectile changes — if bullets or boats feel wrong after a patch, check patch notes before you blame the hull.
If you are new, sit in a gunner seat for a night instead of taking a jet. Getting started still applies: the scoreboard likes the person who repaired the tank more than the person who crashed it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Battlefield 6 questions.
What is the best vehicle in Battlefield 6?
A crewed main battle tank on open maps, an attack helicopter in good hands, and the RCB-90 on Tsuru Reef. Empty vehicles are never best.
Should I learn jets first?
No. Learn IFV gunner and tank driver, then helicopters, then jets. Crashed aircraft are tickets.
Do boats count as vehicles for Engineer XP?
Yes. Repair and anti-vehicle gadgets still apply. Season 4 is why Engineer stays S-tier on Pacific maps.
