Battlefield 6 weapon tier list
Season 4 ranks after the gunplay overhaul and Pacific maps.
This weapon tier list is for All-Out Warfare in Season 4, with Tsuru Reef and Wake Island in the pool. It is not a REDSEC loot table and it is not a Saints Quarter-only SMG list. Guns move when you change range. If you only play Empire State, mentally promote every SMG one grade and demote long rifles. For attachments, jump to loadouts. For class locks, stay with the class guide.
Ranks use four grades. S means you should learn it. A means it wins if you already like it. B means usable, not a grind target. C means play it for fun or a challenge, not for efficiency.
S-tier
- KORD 6P67 — the assault rifle that survived the 1.3.3.0 rework and still posts the TTK people chase. Low skill floor, mid-range king. If you main Assault, this is the default.
- KTS100 MK8 — Support’s lane owner. Recoil you can live with, suppression that actually matters on beaches and construction sites.
- SGX — Engineer’s close-range answer and the SMG that keeps showing up in every meta snapshot. Hip-fire and strafe speed make interiors unfair.
- M2010 ESR — still the sniper that one-shots when you do your job. High skill floor. If you miss, you are a spectator.
- M16A4 — burst control and velocity for the big Pacific lanes. Not as flashy as KORD, often easier to keep on target at range.
- RPK-74M — the other LMG that holds space. If KTS100 is the flexible pick, RPK is the “I am not moving from this sandbag” pick.
A-tier
- PP-19, PW5A3, USG-90, SCW-10 — SMG cluster. Pick the magazine and recoil you can run, not the one a thumbnail named.
- SG-553R, AK-205, QBZ-192, M4A1 — carbines. M4A1 remains the “works on every class” gun in open and a closed-playlist friend because carbines stay legal.
- VCR-2, SOR-556 MK2, B36A4, EF88 — rifles that are a step behind KORD or that ask for a pass unlock (EF88 is Benthic Tomb tier 11).
- DRS-IAR, L110, M250 — LMGs you can main if the S-tier guns are still locked.
- SVDM, PSR, SV-98 — DMR and sniper alternatives. PSR is the Recon backup when ESR shots are not landing.
- BROD 3 — Season 4 carbine for close-range mobility. Night Parade pass path. Strong on paper, still a mastery project for most players.
- VSSM — suppressed full-auto DMR. Recruit path, early unlock, weird and good if you play quiet flanks.
B-tier
Launch favorites that still work: M433, L115, M39 EMR, SOR-300SC, M417 A2, PW7A2, UMG-40, SL9, M121 A2. You can drop a 2.0 K/D with these. You should not spend a week of Hardware XP here until your S/A gun is built.
Season 4’s Interdictor sniper belongs in your ranking only after you own it. It arrived in the August 18 slice as an event unlock, not a default.
C-tier and secondaries
Shotguns and niche launches live here for large-map Conquest. They become A-tier on Saints Quarter. Secondaries (P18, vz. 61, M44, Mini Scout as a pocket rifle) are finishers, not loadouts.
Closed versus open playlists
Closed weapons: Assault cares about the AR row, Engineer the SMG row, Support the LMG row, Recon the sniper row. Carbines, DMRs, and shotguns still sneak in, which is why M4A1 is a universal recommendation in getting started.
Open weapons: KORD on Support is a choice, not a crime. The class gadgets still matter more than stealing a rifle. A Recon with KORD and no beacon is still a bad Recon.
What Season 4 actually changed
Naval maps made velocity and optics more valuable than they were on Cairo. They did not delete SMGs. The new guns (EF88, BROD 3, VSSM, Interdictor) are extras on top of a stable S-tier, not a full reset. Update 1.4.2.5 only stopped Match Trigger from boosting full-auto on BROD and EF88. If your build used that, fix the attachment and keep the rest.
For vehicles that outrank any rifle on Tsuru Reef, use the vehicle tier list. For which class should hold the S-tier gun, use the class tier list. For the live unlock schedule, Season 4 is the source, not a memory of launch week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Battlefield 6 questions.
What is the best gun in Battlefield 6 Season 4?
There is no single best gun. KORD 6P67 is the safest Assault pick, SGX the safest SMG, KTS100 / RPK-74M the safest LMGs, M2010 ESR the sniper if you hit shots.
Is M4A1 still good?
Yes. It is a carbine, so it survives closed-weapon rules and still competes at mid range. Build it from loadouts.
Should I grind Season 4’s new weapons first?
Unlock them on the Battle Pass, then compare to KORD, SGX, and KTS100. Do not shelf a built S-tier gun for an unmastered EF88.
